THE ENVIRONMENT-, HEALTH-, SAFETY- AND QUALITY POLICY OF STYROCHEM FINLAND OY

We develop manufacture, market, sell, and supply Expandable Polystyrene (EPS).

Our product offerings consist of EPS products and related services.

The high quality of our products and services aims to secure our customers’ and our competitiveness and profitability. We only supply products and services that meet or exceed agreed requirements of our customers.

Our operations include Procurement, Production and Supply of EPS, Maintenance, Quality Control, Customer Service, Technical Service, Research and Development, Marketing and Sales as well as Business Administration and General Management.

Our production, products and services comply with all current legislation and permits as well as in the foreseen future.

We actively involve all our employees in finding new ways to improve our Environment-, Health-, Safety- and Quality performance.

We have set EHSQ-related targets with a special focus on achieving high customer satisfaction as well as the well being of our employees, reduced VOC-emissions and superior process safety. We review our performance against these set targets continuously.

We plan our operations systematically and train our personnel with the objective of maintaining a continuous improvement.

We are not only committed to preventing the pollution of the environment from our production and products but we also are committed to reduce the global carbon dioxide emission and related green house effect. We are convinced that reducing the use of energy by improving thermal insulation of houses contributes substantially to these efforts. Our product offering significantly supports this.

By designing more environmentally friendly products and processes we aim at maximising their positive effect and minimising their adverse effect on the environment.

We are committed to the Responsible Care® programme.

Our management regularly reviews the progress compared with the set targets. Results are evaluated and actions taken accordingly.
